Lara and Dan's Wedding- The ceremony and afternoon tea

All the preparations and hard work led to these special moments captured here. The ceremony is always the most emotional and romantic part of the day, having it in a proper church just adds to the ambience. Credit for the church photos need to go to the lovely Emily who took care of my camera whilst I was doing bridesmaid duties. She had an amazing perspective being one of the band members at the front and she did a great job, capturing all those special glances and symbolic traditions. And afterwards, everyone can finally relax with a much needed cup of tea and cake, beautiful!

That moment when the groom sees his bride.

Love this shot, all eyes on the flower girl as she steps over the bride's dress.

My grandma, 92! Enjoying a cup of tea after the ceremony.

Lara and Dan's Wedding- Getting ready

We were all feeling a little tired after setting up the hall the evening before, but the excitement for the day ahead plus fresh coffee and salmon and bagels helped wake us up. And the morning was surprisingly relaxed as we took our time doing make up and getting into our outfits.

Bridesmaid gifts, chocolate, special message, heart decoration, and our bridesmaid brooch and necklace.

Hannah and Lois getting picture perfect.

All the bridesmaids had matching vintage style hair comb, necklace and earrings. I'll definitely wear these again!

Final touches up before getting the dress on.

Eloise's headband and pomander. I wore this same headband for my Auntie's wedding when I was 7!

Loved the buttonholes keeping with the rustic vintage theme tied with twine.

Buttonholes for the grandmas.

Eloise looking so cute ready to go!

Special moments before we leave; a card from the groom, a message of calm. Then the bridesmaids and mother of the bride leave for the church. And the nerves begin as we leave the bride and the father to have some last moments of quiet to compose herself before she joins her husband to be.

The night before the big day

The night before the big day, the last rush to pull everything together. Some photos from the setting up at the hall with everyone working hard. Paper lanterns flying everywhere and the year's collected beautiful bits and pieces carefully displayed in mini installations transforming the hall. The late night pizza was definitely welcome after this evening!

The table flowers, hydrangea donated by our generous neighbours.

The 'Before' Shot

Teapot arrangements for the windowsills, amazing what a piece of lace ribbon can do to transform some otherwise drab curtains.

The Cake

I love these little knitted mice Lara found, personalised with stitched initials for the cake toppers. It's inspired me; maybe I could create creatures and accessories for events such as cake toppers and props? Well it's got me thinking anyway...

The fireplace was an ideal place to create a backdrop for the cake table and the mantel piece looked beautiful with the vintage glass and china pieces and pearly fairy lights.

The Hall ready and set. No more planning or making left todo.
